The Florida Hospital Cancer Institute wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients, and in all of the lives that they touch.
At
the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, patients are the driving
force in providing expert cancer care through technological advancements,
clinical research, and comprehensive treatment. Our team of more
than 200 skilled cancer physicians treats more newly
diagnosed cancer patients than any other health system in
Florida. We have made accessing these experts as convenient as
possible through our Cancer Care Coordinators who provide
support and guidance through every step of our patient's care.
The Florida Hospital Cancer Institute is striving to meet the needs of our community by offering some of Central Florida's only cancer treatment programs. The FHCI is home to Orlando's only combined Adult and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant program, as well as the highly specialized Neuro-Oncology Center, one of the fewest centers in the Southeast. In addition, we provide specialized care for more than 300 kids annually through our Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases. We also offer the community's largest cancer research program, giving our patients access to the latest treatments and preventions methods, including drugs not yet available to the public.
For cancer patients, we believe the best is yet to come. We want to be able to provide hope during every step of our patient's journey. Our Cancer Care Coordinators are available free of charge to provide access to cancer services that are tailored to each patient's individual needs. These specially trained oncology nurses are the single point of contact for nursing assessment and support, rapid scheduling of appointments, insurance issues, second opinions, clinical trials, support groups, and symptom management.
