Florida Hospital Cancer Institute Receives National Accreditation from Commission on Cancer

The Florida Hospital Cancer Institute (FHCI) recently received a three-year commendation and accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. The accreditation recognizes the availability of full-range medical services, major specialties, clinical research and multi-disciplinary approach to patient care at FHCI.
As an accredited member of the Commission on Cancer, FHCI is a nationally acknowledged institution for providing state-of-the-art services and treatment options to patients close to their homes. FHCI is also awarded for providing patients with access to quality prevention and early detection programs, cancer education, and support services
The three-year accreditation with commendation status awarded to FHCI is given to programs, either new or established, that comply with all 36 standards and receive a commendation rating for one or more standard.
