Florida Hospital set to open doors of new infusion center at Celebration Health campus
The center, which will begin seeing patients Sept. 5, is the latest addition to Florida Hospital’s growing cancer-care network.
CELEBRATION, Fla., Sept. 5, 2018 — In a welcome development for cancer patients receiving outpatient infusion therapies, Florida Hospital Celebration Health will soon open the doors to its new, full-service infusion center.
Florida Hospital Altamonte is pleased to announce the opening of the new Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic.
At the new facility, physicians evaluate breast cancer patients in a comprehensive, single-day setting — helping to decrease the time between diagnosis and treatment. During appointments, patients will meet with their care team — including a medical oncologist, breast surgeon and radiation oncologist — who will discuss an appropriate course of treatment and answer any questions. Patients can access all three specialties at one location.
Florida Hospital Cancer Institute is proud to bring the highlights of the ASCO Annual Meeting to you through its licensed Best of ASCO® meeting, to be held Saturday and Sunday, September 15 & 16, 2018 at the The Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. Each year, the ASCO scientific committee selects the highest rated abstracts from the Annual Meeting to be available for licensed Best of ASCO meetings around the world. Florida Hospital Cancer Institute will choose specific highest-rated abstracts for presentation.
The inaugural Docs Rock for NF, a Benefit Concert for Neurofibromatosis, at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Theater in Orlando, FL, began with a conversation between Dr. Herbert Newton, Neuro-Oncologist at Florida Hospital and Kim Bischoff, Executive Director at the Neurofibromatosis Network, with the intention of raising funds for neurofibromatosis research and support for those affected by it.
