Dr. Louis H. Barr, MD is a board-certified general surgeon in Orlando. Dr. Barr specializes in breast cancer surgery and benign breast problems. A leading physician at Florida Hospital, Dr. Barr serves as Medical Director at Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, and leads the Breast Program. Dr. Barr earned his medical degree Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He went on to complete his medical residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Barr finished his former medical training with a fellowship in surgical oncology at the National Cancer Institute, Surgical Branch – National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. An established member of the medical community, Dr. Barr holds membership with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Florida Society of General Surgeons, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He is an award-winning breast cancer surgeon, having received the Attending Physician of the Year Award from the Florida Hospital General Surgery Residency Program, as well as being a regular Clinical Fellow and member of the American Cancer Society.
