Catch lung cancer early. Get a lung cancer screening today.
The good news is when lung cancer is detected in its earliest stages, the survival rate improves significantly. If you are 55 years of age or older and have smoked the equivalent of at least one pack of cigarettes a day for 30 years (or two packs a day for 15 years), you are eligible to take part in the Florida Hospital Lung Health Program.
As a participant of the Lung Health Program, you will first be greeted by a Lung Care Coordinator who will be your ambassador for quality care. Your Care Coordinator will guide you through the entire screening process. From answering your questions to, if necessary, putting you in touch with our team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and radiologists, your Care Coordinator will help ease any concerns you may have. All coordinator services are complimentary.
The lung cancer screening includes:
- A comprehensive low-dose chest CT scan
- A consultation with a nurse practitioner who has specialized training in lung health and cancer treatment
- A personalized, comprehensive lung health plan that provides access to our Florida Hospital Cancer Institute network of specialists
Physicians at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute are highly respected in the field of diagnosing and treating lung cancer. Our skilled team offers thoracic cancer patients a range of highly coordinated and complementary services that utilize the most advanced technologies combined with breakthrough research to improve your prognosis.
