Dr. David C. Molthrop, MD is a board-certified internal medicine and oncology physician. Dr. Molthrop received his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He went on to complete his internship, medical residency and fellowship training at the University of Alabama Hospital. Dr. Molthrop is a member of the American Society of Clincial Oncology, the American College of Physicians, the Orange County Medical Society, and the Florida Medical Association. As an experienced member of the medical community in Orlando, Dr. Molthrop serves in a number of leadership positions, including the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute - Breast Cancer Working Group, Principal and Sub-Investigator for the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute Clinical Research Center, Sponsored and Cooperative Trials Orlando, and Consulting Associate Department of Medicine Duke University, Durham, North Carolina. An award-winning physician, Dr. Molthrop is a recipient of the ASCO Clinical Trial Participation Award, the Osler Award for Excellence in Clinical Diagnosis, the Aesculapian Award for Excellence in the Practice of Clinical Medicine, the Certificate of Excellence from the National Cancer Institute, and has been featured in Orlando Magazine as one of best doctors in 2008.
