Dr. Aharoni is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and fellowship trained in gastroenterology. Upon completion of his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, he was asked to remain as chief resident of the program where he gained further experience and critical leadership skills. He then continued at Maimonides, which was an affiliate of the prestigious Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, to complete his fellowship training in gastroenterology. He currently practices and treats all conditions that fall in the spectrum of gastroenterology and hematology. Dr. Aharoni has special interest in reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition and obesity, constipation, pancreatic diseases including pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, colon cancer screening and prevention, and hemorrhoid prevention.
