Dr. David S. Rosen, MD is a board-certified neurosurgery physician in Orlando. Dr. Rosen earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He stayed there to complete his general surgery internship, neurosurgery residency, and neurosurgery chief residency. Dr. Rosen completed his formal medical education with a fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Rosen is fellowship trained in Neurosurgical Oncology specializing in tumors of the nervous system and minimally invasive spine surgery. He performs complex and minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of tumors including gliomas, glioblastomas, metastatic tumors, meningiomas, schwannomas, acoustic neuromas, pituitary tumors and skull base tumors. Additionally, Dr. Rosen specializes in the treatment of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions.
He has served as a faculty member and attending neurosurgeon at the University of Chicago Medical Center. As an active member of the medical community, Dr. Rosen is active in the study of brain tumors and spine surgery. His research focuses on improving the safety, efficacy and comfort of neurosurgical procedures. Dr. Rosen is a published author with more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He has presented research at more than 40 national and international conferences. He has also received a research award from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Rosen is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Tumors, and the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves.
