Each year, the ASCO scientific committee selects the highest rated abstracts from the Annual Meeting to be available for licensed Best of ASCO meetings around the world. Garry Welsh honors his wife’s lung cancer battle by competing in Ironman race
ORLANDO, Fla., November 7, 2013- Garry Welsh is going the distance for Lung Cancer Awareness Month by “Tri-ing For A Cure.” The 49-year-old businessman is leaving the boardroom behind to compete in his first Ironman triathlon in Arizona on November 17. He is dedicating this 140.6-mile triathlon in honor of his wife’s courageous battle with lung cancer. He has also set a goal to raise $60,000 for cancer research at Florida Hospital.
